What it Means to be a Man of God

Culture has a lot to say about what it means to be a man right now — and most of it pulls in opposite directions. Be tough. Be sensitive. Be ambitious. Be humble. Speak up. Step back. Lead. Serve. It's confusing, and somewhere underneath the noise, you're trying to figure out what kind of man you're actually becoming. The good news is that God isn't silent on this. Scripture has a lot to say about what godly manhood actually looks like — not as a stereotype or a checklist, but as a calling that shapes how you treat people, how you handle pressure, how you lead, how you love, and how you show up when nobody's watching. In this session, Pastor Dan Kubish draws from decades of ministry, marriage, and fatherhood to walk through what God's Word says about being a man of God — and what it looks like to start living that out now, while the foundations of your character are still being laid.

Dan Kubish serves as Senior Administrative Pastor at NewSpring and has invested decades of his life in ministry and in his own family. He brings the kind of perspective that only comes from actually living what you teach — a man whose example, not just his words, gives weight to what he says about following Christ as a man.

Dan Kubish isn’t just a familiar face at NewSpring Church—he’s been a part of the team from the beginning. After more than 30 years on staff, he’s seen a lot, learned a lot, and loves what he gets to do. He’s been married to his wife Debbie for over 40 years, and together they’ve built a big, lively family: 5 married kids and a squad of 20 grandkids who definitely keep things interesting. But what really fires Mr. Dan up? It’s not titles or years—it’s you. He loves seeing students take their faith seriously, make it their own, and have the courage to stand for Jesus in a world that doesn’t always make that easy. He’s all about real faith, real life, and helping you step up, stand out, and live with purpose.
